How MoonMath calculates launch quality
Token Launch Quality Score — What can be established about this token right now?
The formula
A weighted mean over the signals that were observed: pool depth 25%, liquidity against market cap 20%, liquidity lock 20%, contract control 15%, sellability 12%, verified source 8%. Unobserved signals leave the weighting and the rest are renormalised.
What it reads
- Pool liquidity and market cap
- Whether the contract source is verified
- Whether liquidity is locked or the LP tokens burned
- Whether a mint authority or owner privileges are present
- Whether a sell restriction is detected, and the sell tax
What it assumes
- An unobserved signal leaves the weighting and never scores zero: a provider that did not answer has reported nothing, and nothing is not bad
- Below half the intended evidence no score is produced at all
- The weights are stated judgements rather than fitted values: liquidity dominates because it decides whether a position can be left at all
- The curves are fixed choices — a ten percent sell tax scores fifty, twenty percent or more scores nothing
What this does not establish
- The bands are deliberately not safe or good: no arrangement of these signals establishes that a token is safe to buy
- A high score with low confidence reflects the evidence that answered, not the token as a whole
- It uses no price history and says nothing about past or future price behaviour
- A lock or burn score inherits the lock provider's coverage limits and is not proof that liquidity cannot be removed
Run it
Score a token on what can actually be observed about it right now: how deep its pool is against its market cap, whether liquidity is locked or burned, whether the contract still carries mint or owner privileges, and whether it can be sold. Every weight is stated, the sum is arithmetic a reader can check by hand, and a signal no provider reported is removed from the weighting rather than counted against the token.
