Overview
MoonMath is a privacy-focused token price calculator. We use minimal analytics to understand how our tool is used and improve it. We don't sell your data. This policy explains what data is processed when you use our service.
Cookies & Analytics
Google Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how users interact with MoonMath. This helps us improve the tool and prioritize new features. Google Analytics uses cookies to:
- Count page views and sessions
- Understand which features are most used
- Track basic user flow through the app
- Measure performance metrics
We have enabled IP anonymization in Google Analytics to protect your privacy. Google Analytics data is NOT shared with advertisers or third parties beyond Google.
Your Cookie Choices
When you first visit MoonMath, you'll see a cookie banner where you can:
- Accept Analytics: Google Analytics will be enabled
- Decline: No analytics cookies will be set (we'll only use server logs)
Your choice is stored in your browser's localStorage and will be remembered for 24 hours.
Google reCAPTCHA v3
Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to protect against spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA:
- Analyzes user behavior to detect bots (invisible, no challenge)
- Sets cookies to track user interactions
- Collects device and browser information
- Is required only when using the contact form
reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. If you decline cookies, the contact form will still work but may have limited spam protection.
Essential Cookies
We use localStorage (not cookies) to store:
- Your cookie consent preference
- Your last calculator state (token, holdings, targets)
This data never leaves your browser and is not sent to any server.
Data We Don't Collect
- No personal information (name, email, etc.)
- No user accounts or registration
- No third-party advertising trackers
- No social media tracking pixels
- No fingerprinting or device tracking beyond standard analytics
Data We Process
Server Logs (Vercel)
Our hosting provider (Vercel) temporarily stores standard server logs including:
- IP addresses (anonymized after 24 hours)
- Request timestamps
- Browser user agent
- Requested URLs
These logs are used for security, debugging, and preventing abuse. They are automatically deleted after a short retention period.
Token Data
When you search for a token, we fetch public blockchain data from third-party APIs:
- Token addresses (public on blockchain)
- Market cap and price data (public)
- Token metadata (name, symbol)
This data is not stored on our servers and is only used to display calculations in your browser.
URL Parameters
When you share a link, calculation parameters are included in the URL (token address, holdings, targets). These are visible in browser history and server logs but contain no personal information.
Third-Party Services
Vercel (Hosting)
Our website is hosted on Vercel. See their privacy policy:vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
Blockchain APIs
We fetch public token data from blockchain APIs. Token addresses you search are sent to these services to retrieve market data. This data is publicly available on the blockchain.
Your Rights (GDPR)
If you're in the EU, you have rights under GDPR:
- Access: Request what data we have (answer: minimal server logs)
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data
- Rectification: Request corrections to your data
- Portability: Request a copy of your data
Since we don't collect personal data beyond temporary logs, there's typically nothing to access or delete. However, if you have concerns, contact us via GitHub.
Managing Your Preferences
You can change your cookie preferences at any time:
- Clear your browser's localStorage to reset all preferences
- Use your browser's privacy settings to block all cookies
- Disable Google Analytics with browser extensions like uBlock Origin
If we add additional tracking or analytics services in the future, we will update this policy and notify you via the cookie banner.
