    How MoonMath calculates profit planner

Position Profit Planner — What is my net return after costs?

    The formula

Net profit is the exit notional minus the entry notional, minus both percentage fees and any fixed costs. Return is measured against total cash out, and the break-even exit price is the invested cash divided by the quantity net of the sell fee.

    What it reads

    • Entry price, exit price and quantity
    • The buy and sell fee percentages
    • Any fixed costs, treated as spent at entry

    What it assumes

    • The whole position fills at one flat entry price and one flat exit price
    • Fees are pure percentages of notional, so no price impact or slippage exists
    • All fixed costs are spent at entry, entering both the invested cash and the break-even price
    • Prices and quantity must be positive and each fee below 100%, or the calculation is refused

    What this does not establish

    • It does not establish that the exit price is reachable — that price is an assumption, not an observation
    • It is not an executable fill: no pool, depth or liquidity is consulted anywhere
    • It is not a time-based return: no holding period, funding or discounting appears
    • It does not model tax or transfer-tax treatment; only the declared cost terms exist

    Run it

Calculate net crypto position profit, ROI and break-even price after entry fees, exit fees and fixed network costs. The result uses your entered prices and does not forecast them.

    How the market itself works

This page describes MoonMath's arithmetic. The mechanics section describes the market: how an order book forms a price, why order-book depth is not the same thing as pool liquidity, and what a public book does and does not let you observe.
